About the course

This qualification is designed for people who are working in a snowsport equipment workshop without supervision. Holders of the Workshop Technician strand have demonstrated competence in the advanced repair of skis and/or snowboards. Holders of the Bootfitting strand have demonstrated competence in the selection, fitting, and adapting of boots for skiers and/or snowboarders.

This qualification can be a stand alone certificate or it can build on the skills and knowledge developed in the proposed National Certificate in Snowsport Equipment (Rental) and lead on to the National Certificate in Snowsport (Supervision) with strands in Lift Operation, Patrol Leader, Snowsport Equipment, Snowgrooming, Snowmaking, Snowschool, and Ticketing and Guest Services [Ref: 1219].
