About Northland

Northland is the northernmost region of New Zealand. The main centres of the region include Whangarei, Kerikeri and Kaitaia. Northland's mild climate gains it the nickname GÇ£the winterless northGÇ¥. The economy revolves around agriculture, fishing, forestry and horticulture. Northland's Bay of Islands and 90 Mile Beach are hot tourist destinations. The town of Waitangi has a lot of cultural importance as the signing place of New Zealand's founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, between the M-üori tribes and the British crown.

Northland's beautiful scenery, warm climate and relaxed environment is not only enticing to tourists but also makes a fantastic destination for international students who are looking for an outdoor lifestyle.
